Nina Mason Pulliam Legacy Scholars Program Application
The Nina Scholars program is available to students attending the Maricopa County Community Colleges. This program provides a unique opportunity where students from disadvantaged backgrounds can obtain the resources and financial support needed to successfully complete their college education.
Program Benefits
1. Full tuition and fees up to four years

3. $3,200 annual living stipend

5. Participation in student success workshops
6. Opportunity to transfer from Maricopa Nina to ASU Nina Scholars Program
Available to individuals who meet at least one of the following criteria:
*Students who have (a) dependent(s) in their household
*Students with a physical disability
*Students who have experienced foster care or have been disconnected from their parents or primary caregiver and are responsible for their own financial support
Applicants must also meet all of the following criteria:
- Be working toward their first college degree
- Be a United States citizen and resident of the state of Arizona
- Demonstrate financial need, as determined by FAFSA
- Have previously completed no more than 24 college level credits

Developmental courses (i.e. MAT082, RDG081, ENG091) are not considered college level credits.

- Please discuss, in 1-2 typed pages, based upon one or more of the eligibility criteria (as listed in this application), how you qualify for the scholarship. What support systems do you currently have/need to help you succeed?

- Submit unofficial college transcripts
- Please submit documentation verifying qualifying criteria. In order for your application to be considered, documentation must be provided to prove you meet at least one of the qualifying criteria: Adult with Dependent(s), Physical Disability, or Child Welfare System (Foster Youth). The following documents are acceptable forms for each of the criteria: *Child Welfare System* Any court documents stating legal guardianship, custody status, and/or ward of the court or a letter from a case worker. *Physical Disability* Official documentation of the physical disability from a medical or health care provider. Statements or letters showing receipt of disability payments will not be accepted. *Adults with Dependents* Tax forms listing qualifying dependents, custody papers, or a court judgment that proves there is a financially dependent relationship.
